The New Technology Professional...Are You Ready?

The Awards Banquet is a major black-tie networking event for members, students, educators, community leaders, corporate supporters, corporate sponsors, dignitaries and celebrities to meet and fellowship. The purpose of the banquet is to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of members, supporting and sponsoring corporations and community volunteers. This is the main fund raising event to support the chapter’s operating budget for the year.

Our Keynote Speaker - Terrence A.Tapley, Sr.

Terrence Tapley, Sr is responsible for delivery management of services provided by a third party supplier for mainframe/servers, desktop, help desk, messaging and network on a global basis.  In addition, he is responsible for enterprise information security and disaster recovery initiatives for McDonald’s Corporation. Terrence is involved in making all decisions as it relates to technology operations and information protection, regardless of technology platform. He directly influences the decision making on investment and operating budgets where information security and disaster recovery are involved

Terrence joined McDonald’s in March of 1998, after two and a half years as Vice President and Systems Director of Information Access Management with Bank of America – Illinois, a subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation.

BDPA Chicago Chapter



The Chicago Chapter of the National Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) was chartered on March 15, 1986 as the 14th Chapter nationwide. The first monthly program meeting was held April 18, 1986. Since that time, the BDPA Chicago Chapter has consecutively sponsored a monthly program meeting, designed to assist membership in meeting their professional and personal goals. Since its inception, the Chicago Chapter has continued to deliver programs that are innovative, relevant and informative to its membership.
